Broadband Services.

Broadband services are based on any internet connection faster that 512kB. In this regard there are many services in South-Africa That are regarded as broadband but are not. In our context you can consider any connection that is faster than 256Kb sold as broadband. We have a pecking order for broadband internet services and it may surprise you.

  1. ADSL - this is by far the fastest connection and generally the most reliable.
  2. 3G - from Vodacom or MTN these connections offer fast internet and mobility if you do not have access to ADSL this is your next best option.
  3. iBurst- It is by no means a working solution for business. We do not sugest it for anything but home use.
  4. Wimax - Telkom are now introducing Wimax this is a new system and we have thus far not done any testing of this system. I trust however that is will be more reliable than iBurst and should in time move up the ranking.
